World Heart Day

KHF actively participates in World Heart Day, a global event observed every September 29th, to raise awareness about cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), prevention, and treatment. Our activities on this day include:

  • Free Heart Screenings & Medical Checkups – Offering free heart health tests, including blood pressure and cholesterol checks.
  • Educational Campaigns – Hosting community talks, school programs, and media campaigns to educate people on the importance of a heart-healthy lifestyle.
  • Fitness & Wellness Events – Organizing walks, marathons, and fitness challenges to encourage physical activity.
  • Fundraising Drives – Raising funds to sponsor more heart surgeries for children in need.”

Fund Raisers

Fundraising is a crucial part of KHF’s work, allowing us to provide life-saving surgeries and medical support. Some of our major fundraising events include:

  • The Kanu Cup Charity Fundraiser – A high-profile football match featuring legendary players, celebrities, and supporters to raise funds for heart surgeries.
  • Gala Nights & Charity Auctions – Exclusive fundraising events where donors can contribute through ticket sales, auctions, and sponsorships.
  • Community Walks & Runs – Public events that combine fitness with fundraising, encouraging participants to donate while promoting heart health.
  • Online Crowdfunding & Corporate Sponsorships – Partnering with generous individuals and organizations that believe in our mission.
  • Funds raised through these events go directly toward sponsoring heart surgeries, purchasing medical equipment, and expanding heart care facilities in Africa.”

Health Awareness Events

KHF is deeply committed to raising awareness about heart disease and promoting preventative healthcare across Africa. Our health awareness programs include:

  • School & Community Outreach Programs – Educating children, parents, and teachers on recognizing early signs of heart disease.
  • Heart Health Workshops – Collaborating with medical professionals to conduct seminars on heart disease prevention, nutrition, and exercise.
  • Medical Missions – Bringing heart specialists to local hospitals in Nigeria and other African countries to provide free checkups and treatment.
